Am also new to bananas...planted my first 6 varieties about 6-7 months ago...can't wait to see how they do! I am in South Florida, so climate is not an issue for me.
So far I have planted: Dwarf Namwah Dwarf Brazilian Jamaican Red Mona Lisa FHIA 18 Goldfinger Am considering planting Ice Cream and 1,000 fingers, any other varieties that you recommend would be greatly appreciated. Sean |

isnt the fhia2 the mona lisa? -also forgot to list- orinoco and dwarf orinoco
i just purchased dwarf namwah pearl and musa rose and am trading a dwarf orinoco for a praying hands any thoughts on kru? good thing is i am in south florida so can grow pretty much everything all year round...my only limitation is space and my wife |

That is a typo, should be Fhia3, Sweetheart. Kru is good, very tall, and like most reds, not many hands. Mine has just finished blooming for third time.
