Companion spacing

Hola, new member here from Melbourne.

I've been gifted a banana from an elderly neighbour, pretty much the only thing I can guarantee is that it's a plantain. Have the perfect spot for it, but looking to companion plant with sugar cane and/or babaco in the same bed as well, but not sure of the spacing.

I've found info on circle planting, but this is a linear bed, and the sugar cane space requirements don't match up with my experience on how big cane can get. Any thoughts?

Bed is 70cm wide, 240cm long - perfect placement behind my greenhouse and next to a big fat water tank for a heat sink.

Put that plant where it gets some sun all day.
