I would say it's possible depending on the type of fence, the type of banana and the proximity to the fence. I've never heard of it happening, but Richard had a banana split a plastic pot in half, so it's definitely possible. I would say it's probably fairly unlikely, though, unless it's a really rotted wooden fence.
