Aloha from Kauai, Hawaii!
Novice Banana collector here on 3 acres of tropical jungle.
So far got a big clump of apple bananas and have a few babies in the ground: gros michel cardaba mysore goldfinger iholena truly tiny Looking for rare and exotic cultivars -- not much for sale at nurseries in HI except apple bananas, so advice on people willing to ship here would be much appreciated! |

Truly Tiny pstem gets about 3'-4' here I may have old pics in my gallery. They died to the ground due to our bad winter but I can measure later in the year. They will be over 2' very fast though. I hear "little prince" is the smallest. They are all from the first super dwarf "Novak" it became a super dwarf after experiments with radiation.

I have both and they had been growing neck to neck to 14" in pots, until I treated "Truly Tiny" with GA. See http://www.bananas.org/f2/effect-gib...s-m-47043.html . Now, I feel I should start over with 'Little Prince.' But, a problem that I have with both is too much suckering robs the mother plants of nutrients and I have done chemical treatments to 'Little Prince' to stop suckering. I want to avoid mixing variables. |

Wow, I re-read your post. Three acres of tropical jungle in Hawaii compared with my puny little one acre of clay in south Georgia. I hope you have success with whatever you grow.:goteam::ha:
