Solution for photo uploading problems:
There has been a discussion of this problem in at least two other threads, but since this appears to be a wide spread problem and new threads get a larger audience, I am choosing this one to announce what worked for me. I suddenly could no longer upload photos and from discussion with others it became clear, that the problem was not with ‘bananas.org’, but on my end. Therefore I switched from Firefox and tried to upload from Internet Explorer and it worked. Since I preferred Firefox, I downloaded it again and… Voila: It let me upload again with out any problem. It took me six days to figure out the problem and about 5 minutes to fix. I hope, that it will help others with their uploading problems Good luck! Olaf |

I did the same thing, Olaf, removed Firefox 9, successfully uploaded a pic via IE, then reinstalled FF9. Unfortunately, FF still doesn't work for my uploading. I'm glad it worked for you. I'll still have to keep investigating. Thanks for posting your success.

I did not remove anything, Howard,just downloaded Firefox over the old one. It adopted all the "good stuff" from
the old one, but not the bug, whatever it was, which caused the uploading problems. Sorry that did not work for you. What did you do with all the info. like bookmarks and such? Did you by any chance back it up and then reload it? -possibly with the "bug"? Best, Olaf |

I did the uninstall for precisely this reason, Olaf. I removed everything, all personal data, etc. Oh well, Maybe I screwed up unintentionally. I'll have to try again. Happy New Year to you!

It happened again
I again suddenly could no longer upload pictures. So after I uploaded them with Internet Explorer to "Camera Talk"
and "What's blooming in your Garden" I downloaded Firefox again, and here is the test picture, though I still don't know what caused the problem, I have a vague suspicion that moving to other things, while the Upload/Submit process was underway. That might have interrupted it for good and also screwed up future attempts to upload: Serengeti 2006 I would appreciate any comments by anybody, who can confirm or refute this assumption. |

OK I think I've fixed the problem for those who cannot download photos with IE. Attached pdf takes you through the solution. Hope it works for everyone.
