I'm excited to say that next month will be 5 years into Bananas.org
Thank you for all your support. We have over 7,000 members now and for that I want to say thanks to everyone who helped us grow to this point. It's amazing how the project went from idea to reality, and a passion of bananas with other like minded people was able to grow to something so large. Thanks to everyone of our loyal members, many of whom I have met personally (and many of you have met each other, which is even more amazing to me) and I cannot say enough good things about. Some of the most intelligent and generous people around are members here on Bananas and I want to express my gratitude for all the good times over the past 5 years.

Moving forward, I plan to introduce new features to the site to continue to make the information more accessible, useful, interactive, and fun to use. With a strong focus on each of those aspects. If you have a great idea for the site, please let me know what it is, because in the spirit of the community, I always try to oblige and find balance wherever needed. We can even revisit some old ideas from long ago that perhaps have not been mentioned lately on our forums.

You're right about the amazing people in this forum. What is it about bananas?

Really fun to have the org on facebook. Now I can post, I watered my bananas today, I sat in a lounge chair and gazed at my bananas, whoo hoo, my lateritas are blooming, and know that there are people on my friends list that will understand!

Bananas.org has given me the ability to meet many great people who some have become lasting friends. I have only great things to say about this place, because it's always been a great resource and collective for finding hard-to-find cultivars and also to trade back and forth the plants we love, enjoying it the whole time.

What a great site this is, I have learned so much here, who would have thought a gal from Minnesota would be growing Banana's on her deck???!!!
