I love all the ghosty hunting type shows on TV. We have had some family and paired ghost hunts and have been on numerous city, town, and house tours for hauntings. I have a few bazillion pictures (well close to that) and will post a few here if anyone wants to see them. Here is one:

I have sent this in to the International Ghost Hunters Society and they authenticated that it was truly spirit energy. So cool! I was just taking various pictures around the cemetery and this was caught on my camera. I did not see it with my naked eyes.
Love to see yours! And costume pictures! And Fall Decorations! Fall is my favorite time of year! ~JaNan

Nothing to do with ghosts, but a costume none the less. Last year was my daughters first Halloween. I haven't had so much candy in a long time.

Not a big fan of those ghost shows. A handful of those spirits were on the dangerous side. I might be a chicken, but I wouldn't mess around with any of them. Some things should just be left alone.

It doesn't have to be about ghosts at all. Just Halloween, Fall, Costumes, and FUN!

I haven't had a chance to do any more decorating around the house
My new windows came in & I'm in the middle of ripping apart the old Bay window & building a new bay window
Totally new framing & new roof
Started Sat, 1st window went in today
Lousy weather & of course a cold front comes in
I only took one of the old windows out so far & blocked up the old opening with cardboard & towels
Not sure how much more I will be able to put out before Halloween
So the house is the same as a few weeks ago

Not sure where mom got the witch shoes but they're one of my Fave decorations, well, those & the candy bowl :) !! It's like a big cat's head with it's mouth wide open. When ya reach in for candy, the eyes flash & it makes real eerie noises, Yay!!

:2711:Patty it was quite a night! This one is the scariest for me. This is my precious hubby with the ghost meter in his hand and a very LARGE companion right behind him. I was taking the pictures and none of us saw anything with our naked eyes.

Sweet shot, JaNan  !! I'd have an instant spike haircut - Wouldn't need powder, I'd already be stone white!!
Just thought I'd add a couple of pics. The 1st is from a bunch of pics mom took of me and I used one of them for my Halloween avatar. The second is from the pics I took to fix-up my signature.
Btw, that's an Orange Canna flower at the upper right of the 1st pic. They're still blooming here!!

Thanx on the Jungle thing :) !! Mom usually just faints  !!
Was taking photos of plants & stuff, last weekend, and something really weird happened. All the pics came out super except one:
http://www.bananas.org/gallery/watermark.php?file=25302&size=1
I always take 2 shots of every pic (in case 1 might be blurry or something) But never expected anything like this! The other pic came out perfect, weird!
Anyway, guess it's about perfect for Halloween!
Was going to add a shot of 2 live gremlins but the wind kept blowin them over.

For years my family has visited the Outer Banks of North Carolina, especially Ocracoke Island. For anyone who hasn't visited this part of the country it's very beautiful. The Outer Banks (OBX) is a 200 mile long string of barrier islands. Some 1000 ships have sunk in the waters off the Outer banks since records began in the 1500's, giving it the name, the Graveyard of the Atlantic.
The only way to get to Ocracoke Island is by ferry, this service was started in the 1950's. Once on the island we spend some time walking around, have lunch and then it's to the beach. We usually spend the afternoon in the water and soaking up the sun. Dinner is bbq burgers or hotdogs on the beach. After dinner we enjoy the sunset and stay on the beach until the moon and stars are out. When the sun went down is when we would notice the wierd things. The beaches on this island are not like the beachs up north near Hatteras or Rodanthe. These beaches are vacant and there is no development, no lights and usually no people.
It wasn't so much "seeing" as it was feeling. Especially when on the beach near the dunes. The sensation of a presence, voices or a conversation in the distance when no one is there. Warm ocean breezes interrupted by a pocket of cold air that instantly chills the soul and causes you to stop walking. From behind, not a voice but a whisper. Quickly turning around to see only dune grass blowing in the wind.
To this day we still visit the Outer Banks and spend a day or two at Ocracoke and only recently did we learn that many of dead from early merchant ships and even pirate ships that ended up on shores were burried in the sand dunes along the ocean and Hwy 12. One might say that the dunes have probably shifted quite a bit in the last 500 years, but after a recent hurricane that caused major dune errosion, human remains were revealed in many dune locations along the Outer Banks.
