Very very nice. I love them. That swan one is so neat tho. Never saw a white one before. Im trying to get more white into the garden. As of now I only have one white flowering plant and it only blooms in the morning. I think white flowers would look so neat at night. Thanks for posting your great plants.

Emily- I have found the Tradewinds line of tropical hibiscus to be great. There are a few categories such as those that are shorter, etc., and all seem to have the greatest flowers. The one I pictured above is called Montego Wind, from the 'Wind' line. They also have the 'Breeze' line. They are from Yoder, and I highly recommend them.
edit and erratum: the correct name of the pictured hibiscus bloom is Mandarin Wind. Sorry about that. :-(

As my tropical hibs had grown quite tall and lanky, I pruned them hard this spring. I hope to get some blooms this season, but nothing so far. So I'm doubly enjoying the pics here. Keep 'em coming! My hardies have about petered out on their first bloom period. A shot of bloom booster and I should see more.

Here is one of my blooms from today! Huge and happy!
Is there a place to read up on the care of Hibiscus? I bought about 10 of them last summer and while they are still alive they all look pathetic! a couple have perked up since being moved but the reast look like sticks with tiny barely there leaves and a few blooms. I'm really sad about it. And yes...I should never have bought SO many at one time!

Thanks for that link! Now I know why some are doing better! I put them under a somewhat shady spot a few weeks ago, where they had been in nearly full sun before. I can't get the watering right either. If I water to much... yellow leaves, I water to little... yellow leaves??
Here's one in full sun, it's looking a lot better than it did before. Leaves are still very small on it, but it had perked up after giving it Bayer (?) fert with pest control about 2 months ago.

Here are 2 good examples of my plants...I put these under the kids playhouse 3-4 weeks ago. They get morning/noon sun but see the one on the left is starting to look normal (trying too) while the others still look pathetic like the one on the right. :( Photos taken around 1:30ish, you can see the shadow.

If the weather is hot, I find I have to water my tropical hibiscus daily. They also get bloom booster fertilizer biweekly. Your 'stunted' one should pick up and leaf out with sun and appropriate feeding and watering. Shade is a definite no-no, except for when you're first bringing them outside after a winter inside.
