The thing that we will see as climate change progresses is less record lows and more record highs. In fact, that's exactly what we're seeing right now, and what scientists have been predicting for years. I remember this August in my area almost every day was above 100 degrees.

Random fluctuations in temperature. In the past before the onset of climate change, the amount of record highs and record lows were fairly even from year to year. Today, the number of record highs greatly outnumber record lows (when compared to the 20th century average). This is a direct result of climate-change induced warming. This warming is not uniform, and is more severe in some areas than in others. Some areas may even experience a bit of cooling. The term "global warming" just refers to the rise of the planet's average temperature taken over the course of a long period of time, on the order of years, not consistent and continuous higher temperatures in EVERY region at EVERY moment in time. In the future, we will keep seeing these warm spells become more and more common, and cooler spells become more and more rare.

LOL As usual I live in the only place completely unaffected by severe weather, including temperature increases. We're that small little region way up in the northwest that's completely green with a hint of blue.

And about that plate. Living in a place loaded with frogs where they squirt crap at you if you stare at them for too long, that plate gives me the creeps.

Two years ago, a congressman from New York, Anthony Weiner, was forced to resign, amid a sexting scandal. (he sent pictres of himself, in his underwear, to various women) Now, he decides he wants to enter the NYC mayoral race. Hedid so by posting a two minute video on You Tube, sometime after midnight, on Wednesday morning. The posting was too late for Wednesday's papers, but the New York Daily News accomadated him on Thursday, by printing two front pages. The first picture is the actual front page.

Yep - Jensen Beach relief bridge ---- over by the 3rd lampost on the left are a couple of guys fishing for pompano. That is one of the best spots to be when the schools are in the river. I've caught a lot of fish up and down that span and under the bridge too. Welcome back to Jensen Mike!

I got my hands on a Nepenthes v.ventrata a huge scary man eating plant that terrifies my neighborhood kids, well not really. That is what everyone thinks about carnivorous plants or at least I did, am I the only one?

This was this morning and overnight it caught a spider and a fly, awesome!

If you look closer you can identify both the fly and the spider being dissolved by the enzymes of the pitcher. Kind of cruel but not really is just nature. I think that it's worth it. It's quite nice flying over Los Angeles in May and seeing a sea of purple. :)

This is how electronic music is made. Piece by piece, beat by beat, synth by synth, sample by sample. Each row that you see there represents a different layer of sound, and each of those layers has effects, modulations and the like attached to it. I've somehow [partly] gotten the hang of it, but it probably is just as complicated as it looks, if not more. What I'm currently working on here is a remix of 'Diamonds' by Rihanna:

Oh yeah, I've done production....from scratch without music samples to work with. It's a LOT of work, can get super complex within the sound board, but it's so much fun and is totally worth the effort. Keep with it, and I'd love to hear what you come up with!
