I just dug this up yesterday and replanted, to get ready for the cold.
I noticed some odd spots shiny brown spots. Some of the brown with glisten with turquoise. Is this some sort of powder mildew and mold? It only affect the leaf pictured which is my second lowest leaf. There is a tiny spot of brown on one other lower leaf as well not as much tho.

Any info would be helpful.

On another note should I remove some lower leafs to help promote root growth? Or just leave be and let nature do what it does?

This is gonna sound weird but I have to wonder if that might be leakage from an airpalne lav. Sometimmes they leak forming ice around the seal and break off and then melt on the way down. Have you tried simply washing the leaf with water?

Yes that does sound weird. Reminds me of Joe Dirt. I have not tried to wash it off:waving: I will now....

Ok I washed it off it dried and came right back (twice)
So I don't know seems odd. either way it is a small spot on two lower leafs I could easily cut away effected area or just remove whole leafs. I just don't want it to spread ya know!

Plants will work to maintain a certain root to shoot ratio. If you trim the shoots you will trim the roots. That being said, some of the older leaves can be somewhat parasitic in that they respire more than they photosynthesize.

Looks like I am seeing this now, with other wise healthy leafs falling limp.
