As mentioned in Why I use synthetic pesticides (http://www.bananas.org/f9/why-i-use-synthetic-pesticides-8688.html), I am studying for a California pesticide applicator's license.
I wrote a computer program to ask me the practice exam questions from the study guide in random orders.

I wrote a computer program to ask me the practice exam questions from the study guide in random orders. You can test your knowledge of pesticide handling (or study for the exam too) here: Practice Questions for California Pesticide Private Applicator License Exam (http://www.plantsthatproduce.com/PACE.html).
I hope you had the questions in electronical form and didn't have to input them manually. ;) Nice job btw. Thanks.
From 95 percent it's logical, what about the other 5 percent? Use driver license trick: The longest answer is usually the correct one. Score 78/80. :02: WOOOHOOOOO.
The best answer was with fire pesticides: Call family and neighbors? :ha: :ha: :ha: :ha: :ha: :ha: :ha: :ha: I wonder if anyone in the history has ticked that answer. Obviously not the right one.

I scored a 81.25%. 65/80 correct answers. I missed some CA specific questions and some safety information location ones as well. Pretty good for no training...I guess.

Good job folks! The county office tells me that the actual exam is a bit shorter and you must score 70% or more to pass.

My dad is a farmer and just had to do his pesticide exam this summer so he is able to purchase/use such substances. I didn't even know such a thing existed until then....but I guess it's good that they make sure people using dangerous chemicals know what they're doing, huh?

Getting the manual is a good idea too because there are reporting requirements which folks might be unaware of.

I have produced a new version of this tutorial.
This app runs on *most* MS Windows desktops. Each time you run it the app will present practice questions *in random order* from the UC ANR Reference for Private Applicators. You can halt the questions at any time and it will provide a percentage of the number you answered correct plus an opportunity to review the questions you answered incorrectly. Do not expect anything fancy.
PACE = Private Applicator Certificate Exam.
