Keep in mind the egg is smaller than a
tic tac and a quarter fits the
opening of the nest!
This is truly amazing.

Be sure to click on NEXT PAGE at the
bottom of each page; there are 5
pages in all.

A lady found a hummingbird nest and got pictures
all the way from the egg to leaving the nest.

It took 24 days from birth to flight.
.Because you'll probably
never in your lifetime see this again,

Wow...great pictures! Very cool! I always loved how their nests look...camo on the outside and fuzzy on the inside! This reminds me of the hummingbird that tried to get a meal from my Siam Ruby cause it was red. LOL.

Way too cool........I love it. I've spent so much time outdoors and have never seen a nest. They're here all the time but to find a nest and photograph it is just awesome. I can't express how cool I think this is.
THANKS!!!!!!:woohoonaner:

We have hummers all the time but I never thought I'd ever see a nest. Those pics gotta be very rare. Thanks for sharing!

Actually it's pretty ironic that you said that....because I was actually FILMING a video WHEN it happened (though not of the bananas)! I happened to glance out the window in time to see it. Pretty funny...the little guy looked kinda confused. Kinda felt bad for him.
