Hi: Thank You for letting me join your group. I am new to growing bananans; I have planted a few musa this year to begin. I am from PA, not sure of the zone. some say 6a or 6b and even 7. So I say zone 6 but it doesn't matter it get real cold in the winter. I am interested in see if anyone has ever grown fruit in this region? I want to thank you in advance as I no I will need a lot of info on this subject. Dan

Welcome from Texas Dan! There are other PA members here, I don't know about fruiting. I'm sure they will let you know. You'll enjoy it here I am sure!

Hello from Maryland. I'm sure you can grow Basjoo in PA. How long has it been in the ground? I suggest that if it isn't since spring started, you pot it up and bring it inside for the first winter. From then on a hefty mulching in the fall (I use straw and hardwood mulch) will allow them to come back again each spring. They will die back to the ground after frost though, but don't worry, he'll be back.
