This seems more like Ensete ventricosum to me.
I don't know, this happened to my plants only once and even that on one leaf, so I think that it's either leaf burn or some deficiency. Sorry for not being able to help more.

... It does not look after a Red Abyssinian.

... look under the leaves, there are small insects (Tetranychus articus), ...unfortunately i do not know the correct word in english.

On the right side you can see one more "Red Abyssinian" with same problems:bed:

Honestly, I believe it is an Ensete Ventricosum 'Maurelii' (Red Abyssinian banana)....they get very faded in the sun and lose their auburn completion. Mine looks very similar. And for the record, mine is VERY touchy. The leaf that is coming out right now is probably the first in a LONG time to appear normal. I'm not sure what the issue is with mine either....I water correctly, fertilize, it's in a large enough pot, no insects/diseases, etc.

The problem looks like it occurred when the leaf was in it's candela stage and it could have been some kind of water deficiency/sunburn
