View Full Version : No bananas inside some lids of the bud!

You can see from the pictures that there are no bananas inside the first
and the second lids of the flower bud, and only from the third lids there
seems there are bananas inside the lids.

Does any one have the similar experience and what was the reason for
this phenomenon?

I don't know what the reason is but last year mine did the same thing. You can see in the picture there is a leaf (TOP LEFT) above with nothing and there was another one but it fell off. I don't know why, I'm sorry but I just wanted to ease your mind and let you know mine did that too...maybe we are both "not normal" but I figured the chances were good if mine did it too that this is a normal process. :)

From my experience, when the first bract lifts up, there is generally no fruit in that spot. Fruit generally starts being present after the 2nd or 3rd bracts lifts or folds back.

Yep - nothing to worry about - the first few are just bracts and they all do that!
