Hi,
I'm a new member; this spring I planted pups of himalayan musa species (dhussray, hajaray, helen's hybrid, malbhog).
I live in Italy in a zone 9a, I hope to have success with such plants!!!

Obviously I think not to have problems with such musas on winter...what I hope is to see in a few years fruits matured on these plants

You are in good zone for growing bananas, I am sure you will

And good luck with your himalayan banana varieties. You probably will have no problems in Zone 9a with those bananas. Actually, pretty much most any banana.

Welcome to the site! Look around....there are some great resources here! The wiki has lots of good information about the various species and the forums have some great information as well. If you don't see the answer to your questions, just ask! People are very kind/helpful. ENJOY!
