Can any body tell me what kind of banana plant this is? We bought it at one of those road side, Gas station/ flower stands and it loves our back yard. It got as tall as our house in just about 3 months or less. Will we have bananas? we live on the Al. Ms. Line in NE Ms. Its the only one in my Photo Gallery. Thanks.

It puts on one new leaf per week but with nights getting down into the 50s it may slow up soon. I jave a hard time with very slow intertnet so it takes about an hour to upload 1 Pic. the one I have posted is two weeks old. It has 5 pups. What should I do with them? One is about 3 ft tall.

1 leaf/7 days is the idle timing. Let the pups grow until they are 2ft and then either let them there or remove and give to someone you like. :bananas_b
Ya might wanna start a thread, with a pic of the plant, in the "Banana Identification" section of the forum. That will attract a lot of ID experts. If ya need info on how to put your photo in a post, there is a how-to photos-guide in Site Feedback & Help, it's the second thread in the list. Good luck!

And also one very friendly, reliable and helpful member wrote a detailed how-to manual, if you don't want to search and play with your gallery too long.

One way to get your pics download faster is to reduce the size of your pics say from 2.8 megs to 250 kb.

Nothing to apologize for, I messed up worse than that when I started :).
The way the photo's code should read, for this pic is:
followed by "http://www.bananas.org/gallery/watermark.php?
file=21654&size=1" followed by
Now just put it all together without the "followed by"s, spaces, or quotation marks and that's what you should see in your post.
If not, simply edit it.
I had to explain the string in parts cause if I typed the whole thing all connected together, all you'd see is the photo of your plant.
Hope this helps :).
EDIT : BTW, the "&size=1" part reduces the photo to the typical "initial" gallery size.
And Benny's right. I created a gallery of my own called "Thread Pix". I reduce the size of my pics to sizes I want to use in specific posts. A little extra work, but worth it.
