Just wanted to let everyone know I am going to have an easier time growing bananas in Naples Floida than Utah. I'm moving for grad school and am going to enjoy the change in weather.

Congratulations!!!!! What a beautiful place!!! I love it there, and you probably do/will, too.

Definitely hoping for a picture of the California Gold I sent last year in the ground in Florida, please! Keep us updated.

Hey congratulations on both the acceptance to grad school and the change of venue.

Thanks Everyone!!!

Bananaman88, I'll be moving the first of January. School starts the first of February so we will have a few weeks to get settled and go see the sights

Taylor, the California Gold is still alive and well. It hasn't grown much but I do hope it survives the long drive to Florida (38 hours).

I was sold on moving when I made the trip down to interview for school. I was excited to see all the bananas and coco palms. I'll be buisy with school but at least I can study under the shade of a banana tree.

Which school?

It’s called Wolford. It is an independent non-profit nurse anesthetist school. One of three independent nurse anesthesia schools in the U.S. Most people have never heard of it even in Naples. The only way you would find out about it is if one was looking for a nurse anesthetist school.

Congrats on grad school and welcome to Florida. You will be much warmer there that up here in the sometimes frozen North corner of the state.

All the pups you want (30 varieties)...I will just throw them out of the truck (may slow down just a little) on the way to the Keys.

Welcome to F-L-O-R-I-D-A....:-)

Rhymechizel,

Rmplmnz has many cultivars, trading with him and chatting is a wonderful experience. You will learn much!

After you visit him, check out Going Bananas in Homestead, then let me know what you still want!

Welcome once again! :2239:

Wow thanks- Florida is a good place for bananas. Maybe I'll end up staying after school.

Sooo when do we get the DL on your new city??

I was wondering the same thing.

Do you have the space and time to grow bananas now?
