Last year on 8/8/08 I took this picture of a Saba pup. It was all white and huge. Moby Pup, I called it.

We had a brutal winter that was long and cold. My biggest sabas in the mat died. A lot of energy was focused on this and other pups.
On Saturday, 8/8/09, I snapped these pictures of what was Moby Pup. Its on the left front of the mat.

and yes, that is a full size 12 oz beer bottle.
We had a hard cold winter with no growing from November until late March.
That makes this pup just 8 months old.
I find this to be amazing for my zone.
