I got this aroid back late last summer and overwintered it in my unheated garage. Was wondering if anyone else is growing this particular Xanthosoma? If so, how has it done for you? I am still amazed at how vibrant purple the stems are!!! The pics do not do it justice!!!!

I don't grow it, per se; it's wild in my forests where it does very well. The pics are definitely not doing it justice in terms of that lovely, black-grape colour that the petioles have.

This is one of the edible varieties, Randy - both the young leaf/stem and the tuber. The former is kind of like beet greens when you steam it.

Randy, I have a small one growing here from a tuber bought in the asian shop.

It's hit and miss as to what type comes up
. Could be Violacea or Saggitifolia
