Hello all. Just joined the forum. Bananas are something I would like to add to my pool landscape but I know nothing about them, well I know a little about them. I live about 40 miles north of Dallas Tx.

Welcome aboard, Tx Crinum :) ! You've landed in the perfect forum for that kind of info. I'm from Taxes (just north of Texas) :ha:. Texas is a great place for growing nanners and there are lots of pool-side nanner growers here with everything from Chiquita to Ae Ae and Ruby Siams (one of my Faves).
Just jump right in & you'll learn more than ya ever wanted to know in no time! If ya got any questions about using the forum, just ask away.

Welcome!!!

From a South Central Texan, Fort Hood!!

I am loving how bananas are doing for me!

I recommend edible bananas too, Dwarf Cavendish & Dwarf Orinoco & Dwarf Namwah are doing the best for me!

Enjoy! :) ~Cheryl

Welcome. I agree with Eric Siam Ruby is good, it is a good contrast to the color of the pool. Plant near each of the four corners. Or plant on one side, 25 - 50 Super Dwarf Cavendish. This will create an illusion of banana plantation when you are in the pool looking at this side. good luck...
