I've been wondering why that why is it that noone answers the type of soil the banana uses. Is it not that important? Oh, how I just wonder. I am really puzzled with the good people here in this forum why noone bothers to let us know newbies your secrets.

Here you go bencelest. Hope this helps! The search feature on this forum is quite useful as well if you are looking for the "perfect" soil recipe.

No problem. i hope you find what your looking for. Personally I mix 1/4 perlite - 1/4 vermiculite - 1/4 peat/sphagnum moss - 1/4 builders sand and a bit of composted cow manure as well.

Thanks Banana Fun. It sure looks like it is the same mix with my citrus soil so I don't need to get another soil mix for my bananas.
