Good luck with all the outdoors, I know it is only a TS, but when Isabel came and was only a Category 1, we were all still scared as mess=] What did you do with your Bananas? Did you do anything? PLMK what you do when a storm like this comes. They say Ernesto will strengthen when it goes back into the warm water and will make landfall again near SC NC VA. GOOD LUCK EVERYONE ON THE EAST COAST....:bananas_b

It's right over me now.
It's just grey outside, real cool, crisp air blowing around. A little rain, not a whole lot.
I would usually trim back the leaves of the plants for a big storm, but this time, I left them. I did bring in all the potted plants just incase
it strengthened while it was in the strait between here and Cuba. You gotta prepare early, because when it's even remotely close, it gets rainy, and you don't want to work outside in the rain when the news tells you that it got stronger the past few hours. Leaves are the last thing I do, if I have to, for obvious reasons.
It's a good idea to trim back the plants because they easily grow back, but if you leave them, they act as sails and could get the whole plant knocked over. I'd rather have a tall & almost naked pseudostem than one cut back at the base because I left it and it toppled.

Thanks...nothing too terrible from my end in South Florida...a little wind, some light rain. Thankfully!
All my plants did ok, and saved me from having to turn on my sprinklers for 2 days!
