I posted this earlier and now can't find it on the board. My Musa Basjoo is growing fine, but after the plant has a new leaf, it quickly dries out. There are a lot of "pups" at the bottom, are these taking water from the larger leaves on the top?

Where are you growing it...inside or outside? How often are you watering it? Is the one thats losing leaves the mother plant? Has it bloomed? What kind of light condiitons do you have it in? When did it go outside if it is out?

It is planted outside, on the south side of the house. It was only a 5 gallon when I planted it. I water daily, and just fertilized it yesterday. It has not flowered yet. I may be incorrect here, but there are 3 mother plants, all the same size, with the pups below them. Every leaf that comes out is dark green and looks beautiful. Then the second the new leaf starts to emerge the other leaves start drying up. It gets full sun, that is why I have been watering it everyday. I just don't understand why the new growth is just perfect and then looks horrible the next day. I was putting water on the leaves in the early morning to give them moisture, but read later that it could be damaging the leaves so I stopped.
