2009 General Pictures pictures by randy4ut - Photobucket (http://s113.photobucket.com/albums/n225/randy4ut/2009%20General%20Pictures/?start=all)

Slow to get started, but it is finally starting to gain some momentum!!! Just posting a couple of pics I took yesterday and will post a link to the rest at the end of the post. With all the projects around the house this spring and the new position at work, I have not had much time for picture taking. Not the best pics as I meant to get out earlier in the morning, but had errands to run before I started in at the house....
Hope everyone is doing well...

This is one reason I have been so busy... Redid the screened in porch this year and am finally finished and waiting for the wife to furnish it. New siding and screening system which let me remove half the 2X's so it would open up the views to the outside. Ceiling was just exposed, so I covered with corrugated tin, added two ceiling fans. Siding was exterior barnwood siding, replaced, gave it a paint treatment and stained the pressure treated floor a dark semi transparent stain...

While looking at my Windmill palms, I noticed a robin had used some of my spanish moss to build a nest and now my youngest daughter and I get to watch the mom and dad robins hunt for food in the backyard to feed the two babies that are in the nest. If you look closely, you can see the top of one of the baby's heads...

As always I'm swept away by your yard Randy. I must mention the little touches, love the creeping jenny with the SR. Great combo. You don't want to see pics of how my windmills fared from this winter...sad. My needle looks great though.

Randy, looks great!! What a nice view from your new room. I'm noticing your caster beans - ahead of mine, although I started them indoors. Could you send some of that sunshine & warm air this way?

Randy I simply LOVE your archantophoenix solution, if those palms in the first pic are indeed Archantophoenixes. Just a question, isn't the root ball too large for that pot? I mean it's 2 plants alright... :D

Thanks, Jack Daw.... The potted palms in the first pic is actually THREE Adonidia Merrillii. They are by no means hardy here and I purchased them as a patio palm from a local box store for $44. I potted them up into the largest pot that was not a nursery pot and hope to get a couple years out of them before I try and find them a home further south. I do have a Syagrus romanzoffiana that is about 16'+ in a 60 gallon nursery pot that goes in the garage every winter and have had it for almost 4 years now. Talking about rootbound!!! Just can't find a larger nursery pot to put it in and still be able to move it by myself like I do now...

Nice job Randy, smart of you to keep the yellow creeping Jenny in a pot. I remove tons from my lawn every year. Love the miniature schnauzer too!
