today i received 50 pond bag potash i just wondering how to apply it to my banana plants with my other fertilizer how much and when i appreciate any info.

Good question! I make this stuff on a large scale so if I knew the proper application rate I'd be set. I can tell you it's alkaline so if you add too much you'll change the ph of your soil.

I just going to just add a pinch once a month. i was reading wiki on fertilizer it said bananas need 1 -pond half a year.

That is 1.5 lbs net per year. Look at the packaging and find out the actual percentage of potassium.

Example: suppose it is 40% potassium. You would use 1.5 lbs / year divided by 40% ==> 3.75 lbs / year on one plant, provided you also supply the plant with 1 lb net of nitrogen over the same period. It is best to divide up the total amount and apply on a monthly basis during the growing season.

The caution regarding alkalinity is good advice. Obtain a simple pH meter and check the pH of your soil in between feedings.
