My current project has been an Alpinia hybrid. I crossed Alpinia henryi and Alpinia tonkinensis. These were appealing as a hybrid since the shells on each plant are opposite in coloration as well as each flower having unique coloration. Also A. henryi is unusual among Alpinia as the flowers are fragrant. I am really excited to see what turns out of all the seeds pods I have.

Scott, were you successful with getting hybrid Alpinia seed and also seedlings.
With interest, James (Lismore Australia)

Oh wow, where did you get those? I wouldn't mind having some in the garden.

I have seed pods of the same hybrid again this year and a new hybrid I worked on. The seed pods are still green at this point but should be ready in a few weeks. PM me and maybe I can get some seeds out in the mail.
