Hi!

I am from Denmark and have just plant my first tropical seeds: a mix of Musa sikkimensis, palm Trachycarpus fortunei, Trachycarpus wagnerianus and Chamaerops humilis v. cerifera and flower Orange Bird of Paradise.

5 weeks after, 2 sikkimensis, 2 OBOP and 4 Chamaerops have sprouted, but waiting for more to sprout. :)

Here are pictures of my two babys. One stopped to grow and became brown, shortly after it had sprouted, but then I thought it was completely dead, it sprouted again.

Congratulations, and welcome to the International Banana Society! Your seedlings look great. Be careful, though - once you start growing bananas you'll find that it's like an addiction - it's very hard to stop with just the ones you have sprouted.

Welcome BLN, I am growing most of these myself and have recently become interested in the Trachcarpus Wagnerianus as a cold hardy palm. Looking forward to more of youre posts.

Thank you all for your welcome.

My wife think I'm crazy because I suddenly got green thumbs and spend more time with my plants than with my wife. ;)

Good evening BLN,

Never spend more time with your bananas than you do your wife! Bananas will take some neglect, your wife will not!!! :2239:
