Sometimes a member will post a photo and not have started a discussion thread for that photo/subject and I'll post a question in the comment area in the gallery for that photo. I'd like to get notified when there is a response to my question or the questions of others. Some of the discussions get a little involved and it's hard for me to find the photo again to check for a response. Often times, I'll just forget and not check back.

Thanks,

Harvey

P.S. I try to always start a discussion thread for my photos and post a link to the discussion in my photo description, but will still often have questions made in my gallery.

I agree with Harvey, I've commented on so many photos, but forgot to keep track, so some of the responses went by without beeing even seen.

OK, here's how to do it, guys. Under every photo, you've got a little line that says "Add To Favourites / Report Photo / Send as E card / ETC" and at the end of the line there's one that says "Receive Email Updates." If you click that, you'll receive a little note every time the discussion under the photo changes.

The location of this little button is shown here.

Thanks, Beth. I kept looking for things up above and hadn't noticed that. Also, it's often hard for me to find the title of the photo. The text of the title is quite small and easy to miss. Adding e-mail updates will be a lot of help!

Thanks lorax, this is of great help.
I just couldn't help but notice it, but how many people in Ecuador use Mac OS X? :D Me, it's Linux for that matter. :D :D

About 75% of us are on Macs down here, Ante. The public internet cafes, however, use junky PCs and get virally affected more often than I'd like to say.

BTW, my MacBook Pro is about to give up the ghost, which means I get to upgrade (Yay!) to OSX Snow Leopard. My machines are so old they run Tiger.

Well, Apple has this agreement with the Ecuadorean government to keep the computers affordable for the "average" Ecuadorean citizen, which means that most people bought them in the first wave of Apple being down here. I bought my two Macs in Canada, and now I'm kicking myself, because the same machine is several thousand dollars cheaper here. Ah well! Now I can have the 24" desktop with the 1TB memory.
