On the German ebay there are some Blue java at sale right now. The price is around 12 euro if someone interested. The man is from Germany. It is rare to find this plant in Europe so I just thought to inform you.

Someone should get a hold of one and just start giving away pups to get more of them out there. Or do a massive tissue culture ;)

Ewitte, as a funny cohincidence, just today I took out 4 hours to my works to spend time reading about tissue culture. I ended up so discouraged that I chose to leave aside the idea. I ordered that plant but I think I will proceed through pups...

Yea, TC, it's really for people who have all the patience and dedication and an iron backside to sit so long doing it. Kudos to them.

No international shipping?
He ships to Europe (but you do have to ask by mail about the shipping costs). Your country is also a part of Europe (may be not european union...did you ask...is that a problem?)

**** (yes Tog, I remember, that's what those nice symbols are for...). Came too late on this one, :( Didn't notice the thread, so hopefully one of you guys will have spare pups in autumn.
Actually, Kalabrian, they are available and quite widely in the Europe, 60km from me, but I definitely wouldn't give 30€ for such a small plant. And the price is the only catch I know about. :(

Yep, on it. ;) Not only for this cultivar, any hardier species there is.
Ewitte, as a funny coincidence, just today I took out 4 hours to my works to spend time reading about tissue culture. I ended up so discouraged that I chose to leave aside the idea. I ordered that plant but I think I will proceed through pups...
Francesco, that's what I call a spirit. :D No, really, I will TC my plants in batches of 20 cultivars. I have a possibility here, I know how (not I will be TCing them, to answer the question) and there's an expert in my vicinity.
The problem is quantity and batches. The single plant goes for (at most) 2€ on material and work, but don't want to know, how many I have to order, to TC the plants. This way, when they finally grow, I will propagate Pahari Kela for Americans, and any and all I will have by november (first freezing). They should be ready until the spring/summer 2010.
Yea, TC, it's really for people who have all the patience and dedication and an iron backside to sit so long doing it. Kudos to them.
Agreed, when I found out that a person I know might wanna do it for financial compensation, it came to me as much better choice, than learn TCing myself, even though it might be interesting experience.
