Here's what my Musa itinerans pups look like after digging them up. It's important to know which pseudostem the pup is coming from, since the pup comes out of the ground at an angle! If you dig too close to the pup's stem, you could just end up with a handful of pseudostem and no corm! These three were out into the yard, so I had to do something with them.

LOL!):

The other one is already spoken for also. This is definitely my favorite Musa...for today, LOL.

I was looking forward to growing my var. Itinerans this summer but it wasn’t to be, it started to root then the central core whent brown, I kept chopping it back to were there wasn’t any brown and I ended up with a two inch stump, then the corm rotted,
I was well pissed off, but these things happen I suppose.

Looking at your picture Frank your var. Itinerans are looking good is this there second winter out!! Has your Itinerans (Indian form) survived the winter! I thought the one I had left in my cold greenhouse had survived well, until I planted it out in March then it keeled over the corm had rotted on that too.

Tony all's fair if you do go for it. If I do get it you're number on for first available pup!

Tony, I'm sorry to hear about your bad luck!! That's a shame. This past winter was the second winter out, yes. It is a VERY hardy banana!

My Indian Form survived also. It was a bit slower than var. itinerans from China, but it is cold-hardy also. I have some pics in my gallery, I think. Best,

Frank
