Hi All!
I'm Cheryl, from South Central Texas, and I(and the children) have jumped feet first into the ownership of 3 Dwarf Orinocos!
We are reading all we can & are researching planting methods, types of soil & fertilizer applications, mulching, weathering... there is alot to go along with these plants!!
Any & all referrals to aid us in our research to grow(and maintain) these bananas successfully would be wonderfully appreciated!!!
We look forward to sharing & interacting with the Forum! ~Cheryl

Welcome Cheryl.
I'm sure you'll enjoy your DO's. They are some nice looking bananas. Good choice. They like well draining soil and lots of light, water and fertilizer. Lots of knowlegable and friendly's here.

Thanks for the welcome Michael!! ~Cheryl
Welcome Cheryl and family. Good first choice of plants. My best advice is to explore this site , the wiki has a lot of info and you can also use the search feature for info on specific questions as well as just post and ask. Lots of good growers here who will help. Good luck.

Welcome to the org Cheryl. I can tell you that your 3 DO's will eventually morph into many more...that's part of the joy of growing bananas. You should find us a likable bunch. Plenty of very knowledgeable folks here so don't hesitate to ask when needed. Remember, there are no stupid questions, only...oh damn I forget the rest. :02:

Welcome to the org! I hope you enjoy it here and learn a lot. The community is very friendly, entertaining and knowledgeable/helpful, so ask any questions you have. Bananas are pretty easy to take care of, especially in the ground. Best of luck!
