Mine's blooming too!
I was out of town for a few weeks, and when I returned I surveyed the yard and saw that I had a lot of palm fronds to trim, etc. (That was last Wednesday.) I also noticed that there was an odd leaf at the top of my main IC and was worried that the automatic irrigation did not do its thing or maybe the bugs were getting it and I had some damage.
So I go out with the clippers to get those pesky fronds and happened to look up. Shazam! There was a bloom hidden on the back side of the ice cream. The same plant I have photos of from the winter freeze in my album. I saw one hand with about 9 fingers on it. Today I have 3 hands, each with at least 7 visible fingers, and a big fat bud below that. (They are rather hidden and hard to see and I didn't want to tramp on things nor rip anything down just to get an exact count.)
I was nervous about her slow growth this year. I wanted her to get at least ten leaves by June so that fruit would have enough energy to develop and still enough time to ripen by when our usual freezes come. Indeed, she has about 8 feet of pstem, at least ten (shredded) leaves above that, a pup with about 5 feet of pstem and another pup of maybe 12 inches total height. I think we will have a yellow Christmas this year! :nanadrink:

I have a good 10ft. of pstem on the I.C. It suprised me it was one of the slowest growers thru the winter.

I've got about 7 ft of P-stem on mine.. I think it could reach 10' P-stem and flower around November:( Talk about bad timing. Fruit won't ripen in the cool months..

Come on down.Even the Kru is pushing a new leaf.
At this time of the year?
I covered mine with clear plastics and the one exposed are browned and I have a Raja Puri that were starting to show some short leaves and the cold got it and I think I lost the flower but I covered them with trash can liners anyway.
I am looking for some houses now . The realtor and I looked some houses in San Diego, Chula Vista and National City and there is this house that I like so much near San Ysidro area but my nephew told me that the traffic there during the morning time is terrible so I crossed it from my list. I was about to bid on that house.
Another realtor emailed me many houses in Spring Valley, Is Spring Valley Okey to live? It seems like the houses there is a tad cheaper and the lots I was looking at are huge. Up to 10,800 sq feet. Can you email me for your answer?
