Does anyone know how big a Dwarf Cavendish will get before it puts out a flag leaf??.... I thought it was about 6ft.. Mine has about 8ft of trunk now and with the leaves, it's about 12ft tall...

DC are pretty common around here, and all the mature plants seem to be around 6 feet. Either you have an amazing green thumb, or a different cultivar. Where did you get it?

LOTS bigger than any Dwarf Cav I've ever seen.

Go to UNKNOWN NANNER in the Banana ID section and there is a pic of my Dwarf Cav. I have had several of these fruit and always at about the same size. Fruit is at about my waist.

Glad I could finally help someone HA

You had me confused about the elegans so I went and looked at the pic again.
If you mean the 3 trunked palm toward the left, that is an Alexander and there is a Cat palm under the eindow and behind the DC is a Red Iholene and the leaf draping over the left side is a Christmas palm. I know all the scientific names for the about just would misspell them HA HA. There is an elegans around the corner of the wall but not in the pic.
I used to be a palm collector but got out of it pretty much except for those used in the landscape.

Take closeup pics of the flowers when it gets them and post on here. Several on here are great at IDing a plant from the flowers.

Take care - Terry
