So I always buy the spring traps, I like dead mice
My wife bought a glue trap
She saw 2 mice in the kitchen
They were getting in from a hole in the sunroom floor
Just added, haven't tiled yet
So she put the glue trap in a empty drawer where she had food
She didn't want our soin getting into it
I put out 6 mouse traps - caught 3

I took out the drawers to repaint the kitchen cabinets
And I was prety sure I put the glue trap in the empty drawer area
So I paint, next day paint some more
And I notice the glue trap is GONE
I check my son - no glue trap
I look around in the sunroom, kitchen...it's GONE !!!
I couldn't find it!!

Then this morning I found the varmit!!!!!!

One of my friends used a thick gauge wire spring trap to get at some water monitor lizard, Varanus salvator, in the swamp area. He wanted one for curry. The trap was pretty big and heavy about 4ft x 2ft x 1ft. He baited it with chicken entrails. A big lizard got in, trap door shut. However, the holes of the wire was big enough for the feet to get through, the darn monster just walked away with it to my friend's amazement! He was so shocked, he didn't do anything! :ha::ha::ha:

LOL...well, I guess it caught something....not quite what you were expecting, though. Funny story! Thanks for sharing!

That is funny LOL.
I saw a mouse in kitchen one morning & freaked. I had just noticed mouse poop in a floor cabinet in bathroom, and a bar of soap int there was clawed up (they like to eat soap!). I set a spring trap in there & caught it. Then, I figured there may be more so I reset. Got the whole family of 7! The last one took the trap. It was gone. At night I could here something moving in there. After 3 days I checked again & saw the mouse in trap. Instead of bar closing on his back, he musta flipped over & bar was on his belly so when he walked, the trap was on his back. How he survived like that for 3 days ???? I found him laying next to a bar of soap that he was gnawing on. He died happy.

LOL! The best I ever had was a Huanchaka (possum) that liked to hang out in my compost pile. One time I'd thrown in some moldy slices of bread, a few smooshy grapes, and some spectacularly black bananas. The next morning he'd made sandwiches!
