Sandy is a member here on the Org. I got several plants from her late last summer and they were beautiful healthy plants. :bananas_b

I have seen her around the board, that's why I purchased from her instead of the others, there were sources cheaper than her, but knowing she is one of us makes the 3-5 bucks extra worth it for the simple fact that she knows how picky we can get and from what I have seen and heard, she has good product and customer service.

OK, I have searched 10+ pages of search results on EBay
Is that exact name of her store?

I've had nothing but the best experiences buying from Sandy. You can buy direct without going through ebay at Northerntropics.com

Thanks much for that information Bob. I am searching for more bananas, and want to find a good internet source. :) Lowes and Home depot usually don't have what I really want.

Sandy has a lot of good stuff, especially if you like tomatos...I think she carries over 100 different heirloom varieties as well as quite a few varieties of bananas, and she is reasonable to talk to and deal with. Her prices may be a bit more than other "ebayers" but at least with her, you can be assured you are getting the exact plant you ordered, the others just send you whatever they have in front of them.

Little update...... Sandy shipped plants out this passed monday, arrived at my mom's yesterday! Can't wait till tomorrow to go pick them up and see how they fared the trip!

P.S. I called my mom and had her unpack the 2 plants and give them a little water so they dont get stuffy in the shipping container.

Fortunately for me, I can visit Sandy's greenhouses in person, as she lives just across town from me. I bought about 10 bananas and several other plants from her a couple of weeks ago. They're always great plants and she gives great service.

Living in Ft. Meyers you should have some good local sources to buy/trade with.

I recommend that you PM/Email Marc, he is in Ft. Meyers/Naples and has a very nice collection.

I could visit Sandy too next time I'm on business out that way, Muncie is actually only about 5-6 hours away and one of my companies largest customers (well, used to be) is there in town. I have not yet heard anything negative about her offerings or her service. Although I called my mom yesterday to see how the new 'kids' are doing and she said one looked healthy as a horse and the other looked a bit sick, will have to see for myself and check whats wrong with it, might just be shock so shouldn't be a biggie.
