I received a message from my niece on Facebook telling me to go to mygener.im. DON'T. It's a spyware site. My Verizon Security Suite stopped me, but without it I would of had to clear all my cookies, change my Facebook password, etc. Please be careful.

Excuse my ignorance Howard, but what happens when you have spyware? How do I know?
Mike's son let a girlfriend use his puter last yr & right after, there was all kinds of pop up ads just covering the screen - on top of each other! I downloaded Bullguard & got it back to normal except for one page that comes up when I click on a link. It says "awesome homepage" & there is no way to click it off. I have to page back to get it off.
Thanks for the heads up.

The same thing has been happening to me with MS Messenger. I will get an instant message off and on from someone on my friends list talking about a diet product saying they lost 'x' amount of pounds and to go to a site where there is a hyper link on the IM. None of the IM's are really from my friends.

Thanks for the heads up! I can't believe people actually spend their time trying to come up with malicious hacks like this. Pretty sad...why not grow some nanners and have a REAL hobby! LOL.

Patty_ don't know Bullguard, but I used to use the AdAware free program from Lavasoft (Ad-Aware by Lavasoft - Antivirus software, free spyware removal, firewall (http://www.lavasoft.com/)). Now I use the Verizon Internet Security Suite since I have Fios internet. I can recommend the AdAware product. Here is another one which is free and excellent Malwarebytes Anti-Malware - Reviews and free Malwarebytes Anti-Malware downloads at Download.com (http://download.cnet.com/Malwarebytes-Anti-Malware/3000-8022_4-10804572.html?part=dl-10804572&subj=dl&tag=button). It's actually a good idea to use more than one so their coverage overlaps.

Or you could just get a Mac. (or a Banana Jr. 6000. I always wanted one of those... If I ever have a PC again I'm totally remaking the monitor to look the part.) Macs aren't affected too much by all that virus jazz.

This said, what dorks. There have to better ways to make a buck.
