Hello,

i've just registered to this forum. I'm living in the south of the Netherlands.

I've been growing bananas sinds three years. We've just moved to a new house and i've started over again. At this moment i have some musa sikkimensis of about two meter high and seeded some new species of different kinds.

In the foto's you see a musa basjoo flowering that was three years old.

Hope to learn a few tricks so that they flower again.

Best regards,

Patrick

Welcome Patrick, you must be doing something right to have your plants flower. I'd like to hear more about how you did it. You've found a great spot for all things bananas. There are other growers from your part of the world who will be welcoming you soon. Good luck.

Hiya Patrick and welcome to the board! Congrats on your Musa basjoo. Just to let you know, there's a bunch of guys from Europe here who have started a thread for networking. It's a good idea you should get into the group. You can check out this thread; http://www.bananas.org/f2/call-european-members-7750.html
All the best! :02:

Hello Bob,

i've planted the basjoo in homemade compost (al things from the kitchen and the droppings of our rabbit), thats all. A lot of water and some chicken waste (i don't know te right word). Hopefully i get my other bananas to do the same.
