Hello,

I'm Niek Broeders and I live in Wagenberg, The Netherlands.

Two years ago I started growing bananas.
I started with two species:
Musa basjoo and musa sikkimensis.
Last year, the were rather tall (about 2,50 meters).
Last winter, they were frozen. The sikkimensis was frozen to death, whereas the basjoo the upper parts about the ground were frozen. No he is starting to grow.

This spring I collected several species:
Musa sikkimensis "red tiger"
Musa velutina
Musa rubra
Musella lasciocarpa
Ensete ventricosum
Ensete ventricosum maurelli

In autumn I will store them in a greenhouse, heated to just above freezing point, and I hope they will survive.

Perhaps there are people with good suggestions. Please sent them to me.

Many greatings from The Netherlands,
Niek
