They are pretty tough - so give it a chance and it might surprise you eventually! Good luck!

Give it a shot. I found a lil DC pup by the road side which was generated from a flake of corm when the mother plant was removed. It was growing in very shallow soil. I have potted it up and it is growing well. Most pup will grow if they are strong enough and have roots. Use a porous media and go slow on the water from the beginning.

I kinda did the opposite and had success. Last year I was removing a pup from a basjoo clump. A small pup was cut off in the process with no roots visible. I put it into a glass of water till it started producing roots. Then I potted it up and kept the soil very moist. It did all but die back but then started growing and produced another pup when it was just about 6 inches tall. Sirmoebly has them now. Any pictures Moe?

that is very interesting that you could do that.
