hello! my name is Leonardo im brazilian and i have a banana tree species "prata" (silver... sorry i dont know how u guys call it) and i have a problem... the "cacho" (place where the bananas grow from) is 50% filled... the first half is normal... the second half is completely unformed.. like premature... im sorry i dont have a photo to show u guys... anyone have any idea of what might be going on?
forgot to mansion: the leaves are completely fine...

Do you mean that the cigar leaf is half formed? I am trying to visualize what you are describing, but I am a bit unclear.

hummm the leafs are fine... the banana (fruit) is there... but bottom half is VERY underveloped... the top half are perfect...

Oh, now I understand. So half of the raceme has under-developed fruit and the other half is normal. Has this happened previously, or is this your first banana plant?
My guess is that the others should plump more with time. Without seeing a photo, it is just a guess.

Maybe the bottom are the male flowers that don't form bananas?

This may sound like an odd question, but how many leaves are there on the plant? If you have less than 10 leaves, the size of your bunch will be reduced. It will also make a smaller bunch if there have been long periods without rain.
'Prata' bananas are called 'Ice Cream' in North America.

Isto pode soar como uma pergunta impar. Quantas folhas estão na planta? Se você tem menos de 10 folhas, o tamanho de seu grupo estará reduzido. Igualmente fará um grupo menor se houve uns longos períodos sem chuva.
'Prata' as bananas são chamadas 'Ice Cream' em America do Norte.
