I have one Lobster claw that took a lot of wind damage and I think it is dead now as no new pups have shot up. And on that keeps shooting out white leafs that just burn off and die.

They grow like weeds here...constantly have to thin them.
We have lobster claw and a Caribea we got from a commercial grower in Costa Rica..

After seeing this thread this morning, I uncovered the ones I got from you and there were several that made it through the winter. I may pot them up later so they can go in the greenhouse this year. Do you remember what type you gave me? The ginger also survived.

Rostrata and a Caribea...I will look for the scientific name....man o man have they proliferated the last year..taking over some areas..the Caribeas get so big...
