Hello members of Banana.org. I'm new to this. I joined because I am also new to banana growing and I don't know when to cut the bunch of (green as yet) fruit on my Lady Finger tree. I guess I could ask a Primary Industries rep, but I'm sure it will be more interesting talking to a grower.
Happiness is a lovely bunch of bananas. Gran.

Hi there Gran! Welcome to bananaland. What type are they? Generally, you can cut them once the first ones begin to ripen at the top. If it is a huge bunch that you won't be eating for awhile, you can cut off some hands and leave the rest to hang for a bit. Don't leave them too long, as some varieties will tend to split open. Good luck.
