Here's mine. Unfortunately, it went to the big banana farm in the sky. The combination of Ike and winter was just too much for it. Sorry, Steve.

Brent I almost hit the "thanks" button for you posting your picture but I think condolences are more in order. Hope the next one does better.

Aww....that's a crying shame, Brent! Looks like it was a very beautiful plant! :(

Nice Basjoo, Michael!

Just j,
Is that an Ensete Ventricosum 'red stripe?' Great picture...and I'm not totally accustomed to the next leaf being so close in succession to one already opening. My super dwarf cavendish puts new leaves out with a tiny first bit of the next, but my ice cream waits over half a week between when one leaf opens and being able to even see any of the next leaf. The plant in your picture seems to have a much faster growth habit....and very beautiful also!

is that normal the leaves dont turn red for like a week after they uncurl they stay this bright green for a while witch looks nice none of my others ensetes do this exept this one and this one grows 10 times faster than the rest it has 2-3 new leaves before the others have 1 they r all in the same size pots same lacation side by side and get watered and fert. the same i dont know this one took a hard freeze and killed it to the ground and its back up bigger than the others already and they never froze it must be a super ensete lol
