This week I'm gonna pot up my DC into a 23" x 18" (I think) pot. Is this the best time to do it or should I wait? And, should I completely replace the soil it is growing in or can I just sterilize it and reapply? Still giving me leaves every week or so I don't really want to stress it out too much but, I believe it's time. Also, when I do this I was gonna give him a good scrub down since I have found what I believe to be spider mite webbing (no mites tho....kinda strange) but not sure if it is. I will post up a pic of this tonite or tomorrow for opinions. I have found mites on my hylocereus guatemalensis and am taking corrective action, i.e. uprooted and water/mild dishsoap concoction and a sterilized pot and sterilized soil.

Hey shaggy, I grow dc to & I found out they don't like to big of pots if grown indoors. Everytime it seems when I repot to a bigger pot they look good for a week or two, then they look really bad. So I pull them and go to a smaller pot & they come back to life... You really got to watch for root rot. A good way to tell if you need a bigger pot is the soil gets dry within a week or faster. (or the plant is falling out of the pot!!!!) A good insecti. soap works good, I tried the dish soap thing a couple of times and had no success. These DC are a year old & grew from a 4", to a 12", to a 16" pot were they will stay until they fruit.... good luck...

Thanx Moe, I'll try some insecticidal soap and maybe step down to a 16" pot instead of the 18" He's in now. Guess it couldn't hurt to try that.

You should try a bottom watering pot, it helps through the winter so you don't over water. The plant will actual dampen the soil by itself. I got mine at walmart for $9.00. Water from the top till you see the roots in the tray. I still water from the top once in a while.
