I just joined today, mostly out of hatred for mealybugs.
I have 2 dwarf cavendish banana plants that I got:
1) To look nice in my house (and deck in the summer).
and
B) So my Cockatoo could have an unlimited supply of beaky sized bananas. If she was of a higher intelligence she would probably be on this forum all day. She loves bananas like crazy.
So yeah. That's about all, I guess.

Welcome Ink. Sorry, I was acting a little silly at your other post. Welcome and good luck. So what's the too's name?

Welcome to the organization inkxaviary!
Decrease the amount of nitrogen and increase the amount of potassium your give your banana plant. You will notice fewer problems with it.
Welcome aboard! :2239:

Hello,
Humor is not a problem. The too's name is Henrietta Beakface Screamington Perot, the 3rd.
Thanks for the welcome! I have no clue as to what the nitrogen levels are and stuff. How do you even go about finding that out / fixing that? My gardening expertise is somewhere in the "put it in a pot in some miracle gro soil in the sun and insert water occasionally" area...

I don't feed mine in the winter when they are dormant or semi dormant but bananas are heavy feeders in summer when they are putting out a leaf a week. So we have to feed them with fertilizer. Fertilizer comes labeled like 10-10-10 or 30-10-10 or even 6-2-12. The first number is Nitrogen the second is Phosphorus and the third refers to the Potassium percentage. To green up your grass you'd use the 30-10-10 but for the most part you'd use the balanced percentages or maybe better yet the higher third number to feed bananas. So just look at the numbers when you feed the nana's.
