Hi
Just came accross some streets in Singapore that are named after bananas! :-) Thought I share this with you.

We have a Cavendish street just down the road from us. I'll get a picture while I'm out today and post it later.

We've got "Calle de los Platanos" and "Calle de los Bananos" here, along with something called "Pasaje Chiquita" (although that may refer to the size of the passage, rather than United Fruit).

Oh, we've got a couple of Jalan (main road) Pisang and Lorong (street/lane) Pisang here.
On the other hand, Musa is a common Malay name. One of our former Deputy Prime Minister was a guy call Musa Hitam, nice chap.
The funny part here is that Hitam (in Malay) = Black (in English).... Go figure! :ha::ha::ha::ha::ha:
