I am very new to tissue culture, never preformed any steps of the process. I recently read the book, "Plants from test tubes" and now still wish to proceed with trying it hands on. The weather here in Northern Kentucky will be breaking in the next month or so (I have plants in the space where I will doing TC right now) and when it does I would appreciate it if someone might be willing to help me get started off on the right foot. The first thing I need to know is what are the very basics I should start rounding up other than a pressure cooker and mason/baby food jars. Next is what are the basic chemicals I will need. I appreciate any help anyone can offer.

Michael, I highly recommend visiting Carol Stiff's site for a list and technique information. If you are planning to get into it, this is the best information for the home TC enthusiast in my opinion. (Plus, Carol is a member here) They also have a listserv that you can sign up to receive for free.

Chironex,
I am wanting to goto one of the TC seminars this year, I believe there is one in Charleston, I might be interested in that one. I think it would be very smart to invest money in this instruction. I have my 2 car garage that I converted into a grow room. Once the weather breaks I plan on moving everything out and constructing my TC space in there.
