Please take a look at my Profile Picture! My mother took this picture of Alpine (my dog) and gave it to me in a frame for my Birthday a few years ago! He has since past-on (waiting for me to join him)! NICE PICTURE HUH!

Nice! Is he a Siberian ?

I had one, named Tasha, but the neighbors brother shot her. She was eating their chickens,cats,rabbits......
Still , no reason to do that. My folks offered to pay for the livestock, and she only escaped from our place a few times.
That's the only dog I've ever known that would eat any animal it could catch.

NO he is a Samoyed! It was very tame, the worst it would do is jump on you and get you real dirty-he loved too dig!

Robby what a beautiful, beautiful dog and so thoughtful of your mother to frame that photo. What a great pose she captured!

Pete that's awful about a neighbor shooting your dog no matter what the dog did. It's just not right!

Hey Rob, very nice pix of a great pet. I know how it feels to lose a companion like that. I lost both my Pitbulls due to old age. Folks, Pitbulls are real fine animals if you bring them up well and they are not what you hear on the news. It's like how you parent your children to be.

Pete, that guy sucks. Lucky for him, you were the owner of Tasha and not me. Damn...

Alpine was a beauty Robby. Losing a pet to me is one of the hardest things. It's good you have such a great pic to remember him. It's comforting to think our old freinds will be waiting.
Have to agree with Tog (thats scary) my Rottweiler is a certified therapy dog and even though I wouldn't do it I'm sure he could be left alone with a small child and be perfectly behaved. Just put the time in when they're young.

Awesome pic CR. Sounds like you got a great mom. Alpine looks so healthy. I guess we are all diggers here just like him. Thanks for sharing his memory.
