ok i never tryed growing bananas from seeds i just bought some ensete glaucum, superbum, ventricosum, and a unknown var. of ensete i was told to leave them soak in hot water over night and plant them in well drained soil 1 inch deep and keep damp but not wet keep temp around 70-75 degrees and wait 3-8 weeks is this right do i have to score the seeds at all some of them are the size of a marbel i also bought some balbisian, pink ornata, royal purple, and velutina seeds these i was told just plant 3/4" deep and water lightly and keep warm i plan on planting them in these plastic trays i bought at walmart for 6 bucks they come with these pellets u add water and they expand there is 72 in a tray made by jiffy if you know what i mean is this good enough to grow bananas i have a grow lights that im gonna put over them and place them in my south facing window anyone have suggestions for me am i doing this right or should i be doing it different acually i bought all this **** and need some advice if any one has had luck with the following lol

Sounds about right for the ensete, keep the temp constant and the humidity high. The musas need fluctuating temperatures (cool at night, warm during the day) and also high humidity. You've chosen seeds that all take a long time to pop up, good luck and don't lose heart.

just j i hope you are not in a hurry as some banana seeds can take up to a year or even two to germinate the Ensete Ventricosum will most likely germinate first i have grown many of those the germinate easily but the rest are slow the best way is to use a heat mat with a thermostat 86 deg for 12hr then off for 8 hr or so ever one has there way of doing it so thats just a general rule of thumb good luck!

do i hav to scratch the seed with a knife and how long should i let them soak

I wouldn't bother with the ensete seeds, the musa seeds however, opinion is divided, I don't, but then I haven't had that many pop up for me, so try some.
